It was 22nd-Oct-2010, we boarded our train from Bangalore at 1 PM and reached Pune next morning 9 AM. We searched for a hotel and checked in one of the costliest hotel we ever stayed and it was a business hotel near to railway station. After freshened up, I inquired about Pune Darshan bus service. We went for lunch and went to Moledina Stand at the Pune Station and booked our seat for Rs 140 each for Sunday. The contact information for the service is Phone No: 020-32930008, 24440417 (ext. 255). Bus leave for Pune Darshan at 09.00 A.M. and return back by 05.00 P.M everyday. Below are the places we visited.
Sunday after the tour, we returned to hotel and checkout at night. Our return train was at night 1 AM and we reached Bangalore Monday night 8 PM.

Lokmanya Tilak Mesum, it has photos, his room where he stayed in pune and his jail scene.

Sanirwada – fort of peswar. It has 120 room in 7 floors with 5 ¾ acre land in 1730 AD. It had 5 doors with different purposes. Totally destroyed by british people.

5.
Lal mahal (Sivaji Chatrapathy’s mother Jija Bai) meseum. It was closed on that day. Photo is not allowed inside the meseum.

6.
Mahatma Pule Wada house. He was a social reformer. His wife first started women school in 19 century.

7.
Karwar Meseum (Rs. 20 and Rs. 150 for camera). 3 floors. One for general staff. 1st floor for utensils, 3rd floor for armour, 2nd floor cloths, then musical and glass from various regions in India. There was a room for Mastani who was one of the most beautiful lady in peswar.

Damodar temple (non stop) near the river bank. British cloths were burnt here. Lokmanya Tilak was sent to Andaman and on the way he jumped into the sea.

Chalur Sing’s mandir. It was too crowded, so we did not stop.

Pune university (non stop) It is in 411 acre land. Has 7 foreign language. 4 lakh 50 thousand book in library.
11.
Dr. Ambedkar Museum (Rs 5) has many items of ambedkar made my symbiosis institution. Half spherical dome is the shape of the building.

12.
Japanese garden (Rs 10) Its a huge landscape. Nicly maintained grass and pathway. Small water flow all around the garden. One place there was orange fishes.

Sri ganesh temple. We did not go there.
14. Had lunch in sarash

Vivekananda Staue (non stop) He stayed here with bal gangadhar Tilak for 10 days in his room.
16.
Rajiv Gandhi Zoo. Snake Garden is good. Animal section is not that good.
17.
Sindhi Chatri.All sindh family and 3rd and 2nd second burial and siva temple. Temple is very old but adjacent hall was build in 19 century. They fought in Panipat War 1 and 2 and died.

18.
War Memorial. Contains all solders details who died in different war in India from all states since world war till now. It was a fighter plane, 2 tanks and a miniature ship.

Agha Khan’s Palace, Samadhi of Gandhi’s wife and Mahatma Gandhi’s ash could be seen here.

They were house arrested after “quite India movement”. The place is very old but is maintained very well.
